A calm and elegant website for a stonemason

Granpar designs, makes and installs granite headstones in Zabrze and the surrounding area. The website was to present the offer in a calm, matter-of-fact way and make it easy for families to get in touch - with no pushy selling, but with care for detail.

Our scope of work

• analysis of the offer, target audience and competitors, plus the site's information architecture
• UX/UI design refined separately for desktop and mobile
• build on WordPress with a bespoke theme and an easy content editing panel
• service pages: single, double and urn headstones, stone accessories, lettering and restoration
• a project gallery and a materials page
• local SEO for searches around Zabrze
• technical SEO at launch: heading structure, meta data, friendly URLs and a sitemap
• performance optimisation: light images, lazy loading and a minimum of unnecessary scripts

• a presentation of completed work and materials
• an about page on the company and its experience
• clear calls to ask for a quote and quick phone contact
• a mobile version

Outcome

The whole website received a dark, subdued look with a stone motif and large photos of completed work, which brings out the durability of the materials and the care in the craftsmanship.
